The National Apartment Association has once again shown us just how momentous Apartmentalize can be. This year’s event in Denver reached over 11,000 attendees with nearly one hundred educational sessions. We took every minute to be inspired and take detailed notes to share with you everything we learned—well, almost everything we learned. There’s a lot to cover after all! So, let’s focus on one of the most disruptive topics talked about throughout the event: Artificial Intelligence (AI).
During the event there were over 85 sessions, and more than 550 cutting-edge vendors, and out of all that was going on, it was clear that AI-powered technology has emerged as a hot-button topic. Property owners are becoming privy to the competitive advantages that it can offer and see the potential of long-term ROI by being among the first to utilize it.
One session of noteworthy importance was “Multifamily 2029: 10 Innovations that will Change Everything,” it featured a panel including Pinnacle Property Management Services and The Westover Companies. During the session, they uncovered ten technologies and trends predicted to affect the rental housing market and operations. Out of the ten discussed, artificial intelligence was highlighted as one of the top technologies and trends that companies need to stay on top of in order to not be left behind.
Back in the Exhibition Hall, LeaseHawk showcased their latest AI innovation. Attendees were able to participate in an interactive demonstration of the multifamily industry’s first-ever AI leasing assistant created by LeaseHawk. Aptly named, ACE AI, because she can answer communications every time. By using machine learning and natural language processing, she can take calls, chats and texts as well as set appointments and collect guest cards when the leasing staff is unavailable or when it is after-hours.
Mike Mueller, LeaseHawk CEO and Multifamily Expert, said during the event,
“ACE AI has the potential to replace apartment call centers. It can interact with prospects and residents 24/7, so leasing opportunities are never missed. This is the type of technology that property owners need in order to meet the ‘always-on’ communication demands of today’s renter.”
